Who are we?
Hangzhou Vwin Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2016 and is located in Linping District, Hangzhou. It specializes in the R&D, production and export of office supplies and stationery. Who is the client?
A private general hospital headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It has 300 beds and 12 nursing units including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency department, etc. The total number of employees exceeds 800, among which around 400 are nursing staff. The hospital launched preparations for JCI re-accreditation in 2024, and comprehensively upgrading nursing information management tools was an important part of this work.
Challenges faced by the client
- Severely aged whiteboards — The whiteboards used at each nursing station had been in service for years. The board surfaces turned grey, and marks could not be wiped clean. Disinfection with alcohol left white hazy residues, making the boards look dirty and worn.
- Non-compliant infection control — The coating on ordinary whiteboards cannot resist alcohol and chlorine-containing disinfectants. Frequent disinfection caused peeling and cracking of the board surface, failing to meet JCI infection control standards.
- Inconsistent information formats — Each of the 12 nursing units drew tables and recorded content independently. Some used Arabic, some English, and others mixed both languages, which easily led to omission of critical information during shift handovers.
- Lack of magnetic performance — Nurses needed to attach patient identification cards, allergy warning cards, color-coded care level cards and other items magnetically on whiteboards. However, the original whiteboards had weak magnetism and the cards often slipped off.

In terms of product specifications, Vwin offered two sizes to fit different nursing units:
- Main Information Board for Nursing Station: 120×180cm, wall-mounted. Used to display an overview of all patients in the ward — bed number, name, diagnosis, care level, allergy history, attending physician, responsible nurse.
- Auxiliary Information Board for Treatment Room: 90×120cm, wall-mounted. Used to display daily medication reminders, special treatment arrangements and key handover notes.
All whiteboards adopt medical-grade galvanized steel sheet plus matte baked enamel panel. The surface is treated with an antibacterial coating, which can withstand repeated wiping with 75% alcohol and chlorine-containing disinfectants without fading, peeling or cracking. The frame is made of rounded aluminum alloy with a seamless design that is less prone to dust accumulation and easy to clean. Bilingual fixed fields are pre-printed on the board surface, including: bed number, patient name, diagnosis, care level, allergy history, attending physician, responsible nurse and special notes.
In addition, Vwin provides supporting accessories as a complete package: 50 magnetic fasteners per board (for attaching patient identification and warning cards), one set of color-coded magnetic care level cards (red/yellow/green/blue), a four-color set of medical whiteboard markers and a dedicated whiteboard eraser.
Delivery and Service
After sample confirmation, Vwin completed mass production of all goods within 20 working days.
12 nursing units × 2 boards per unit, totaling 24 pieces of medical-grade magnetic whiteboards.
Each whiteboard is individually printed with the nursing unit name and number for unified management.
The hospital logo and JCI compliance mark are permanently printed at the top of each board to enhance the professional image during accreditation reviews.
Products are shipped by sea to the Port of Daman under CIF terms. Vwin takes full responsibility for insurance and transportation.
Results
All 24 medical-grade magnetic whiteboards were delivered and installed for use across the 12 nursing units within 4 weeks.
Six months after installation, the hospital conducted a JCI mock survey with the following relevant results:
The score for nursing information management items increased from 78 to 96.
The score for infection control related items increased from 82 to 98.
The rate of omitted information during shift handovers dropped from 12% to 2%.
Average time spent cleaning nursing station whiteboards was reduced from 10 minutes to 3 minutes.
The daily number of slipping patient identification and warning cards fell from 56 times to zero.
The hospital has included medical-grade magnetic whiteboards in the standard procurement list for all nursing units. It plans to expand the product range to mobile stand whiteboards and magnetic whiteboard stickers in 2026, with continued supply from Vwin.
